How It Works

As a cloud-based solution, examina.io brings all the goodness and excitement from our popular offline SmartExaminer CBT software to the cloud which takes away the technicality of setting up your test environment. examina.io is fully interoperable with SmartExaminer which makes all the knowledge transferable.

Examiners can choose to build their questions using the online or offline Designer and administer and manage Exams and Examinees using the Manager. After exams have been created and examinees assigned, the Exam link can be sent securely to all Examinees using our custom Email templating engine.

With features such as Live Exam Proctoring and eFace ID verification, you can eliminate cheating by ensuring the examinee is the one sitting for the assessment.

Why examina.io?

examina.io simplifies the testing process by giving you all the tools needed to create exams that meets your requirements. With several configurable options such as branding an exam with your logo or turn an exam into a preparatory one by showing the answers at the end. You can also choose to show the exam scores or not after an exam session.

You have the option of creating exams with multiple papers and generate reports with obtainable insights aggregated to the paper. With separation of concerns, your organization can decide to separate who can create an exam from who can administer, ensuring that result integrity is never compromised.

This App allows you to build the questions which will be used as the test/exam questions. This App is completely interoperable with SmartExaminer Designer.

This is the central hub for administration. This Applications allows you to add Exams from the Designer and assign Examinees as well as generate Exam reports.

TAKE EXAMS

This is the Examinee facing Application where all those configured to take the exam will login to sit for the Exam. Exams can be branded for the examinees.

RESTful API Endpoints

examina.io provides REST API endpoints for easy integration with your existing workflow. You can also embed the Client App widget on your website and autologin Examinees.

Fully Customizable

The Designer makes it easy to build and customize your questions. You can choose to show answers after exam, show or not show scores, multiple papers within the same exam.

Inherently Decentralized

Multiple users can make us of the Apps. In a school setting, Teachers/Lecturer can build their own questions with the Designer. Multiple users plans are available.

Live Exam Proctoring

With live exam proctoring, you can easily monitor your examinees' webcam, audio and screen to ensure that their environment is free from any instrument of cheating.

eFace ID Verification

This is a biometric verification process using facial recognition against the photograph you have on file to ensure that the Examinee is really the one sitting for the Exam.

Customized Messaging

This feature allows you to create your own custom email to send to examinees with properties pertaining to each. Send professional exam invitation emails and result.

Multiple Question Types

3 questions types are currently supported namely, Multiple Choice Single Select, Multiple Choice Multiple Select and Fill In the Blanks. More question types are expected.

Audio-Enabled Questions

Audio files can be added to questions for listening tests and offers multiple configuration options. Max play count, dimension, colours, pausable, e.t.c are configurable.

SmartExaminer Interoperable

examina.io supports exam files from SmartExaminer. This means that the offline Designer can be leveraged and older exam projects can be reused without any change.

¶ Pricing in the flexible plan are based on Exam credits. This is the price of one Exam credit. Exam credits are prepaid.
† Data is deleted after 2 months of inactivity. Email warnings would be sent to backup data several times before expiry.
* This is a paid option that is available under the plan and is optional. Pre-verification with eFace ID costs 0.25 credits per written exam.
** This is a paid option that is available under the plan and is optional. Live Exam Proctoring costs 0.5 credits per written exam.
