Feature Explanation

Active Exams restricts the total number of Exams that can exist in the manager. You can add and remove exams but the total number at any given time must not exceed this value. There is no limit on the number of times you can add or remove exams. However, this number is the maximum that can exist at any given time.

Examinees are the students/applicants that will take assessments.

Similar to the Active Exams, this number is for Examinees and restricts the number of Examinees that can be added. You can add and remove examinees any time you want with no restrictions but this number caps the total number that exists at any given time.

For all exams, at any given time, this is the maximum number of examinees that can be writing exams at the same time. In order to stay within this limit, you can schedule exams at different times for examinees.

This feature allows you to send customized emails to Examinees from the Manager. The emails are customized using placeholders that will be replaced dynamically for each Examinee. You can send emails to Examinees about their exam date and time as well login credentials or exam results. You can also include the exam link, images and any other custom content you may want to add.

This is a biometric facial verification feature that can be used to ensure that the person writing an exam is the one actually supposed to write. eFace ID matches examinees with the image on file and captures and stores the webcam image used for verification which can be accessed later by the Examiner if required.

This feature allows you to customize the login page for the client application which the examinees would use to take the assessments. You can set your organization logo and a background image to make your examinees feel at home. Without this feature, customizing the exam page can only be done with branding information configured using the Designer application. For more information on this please visit the docs.

This talks about the maximum file size for a single exam file which will be allowed for your organization. Exam files are .smex files which are exported from the Designer and contains all the encrypted questions and resources.

This feature allows you to easily integrate your existing workflow to examina.io using our API endpoints. You can pretty much do almost everything using the API as you would on our Apps. You can also create webhooks that informs you when an examinee has completed their exam. If you embed the client application on your website, you can use this feature to implement auto login.

Visit the API docs to see the available endpoints.

Groups do exactly what you'ld expect. It allows you to group examinees together and take action on them at once. In a school setting, groups can represent classes or students taking a particular course. When examinees are added to groups, they can all be mapped to an exam by simply mapping the group they belong.

This restricts the number of groups that can exist at any given time. You can create and delete groups at will but the total number cannot exceed the set limit.

Users are those people, probably within your organization, that will make use of this LMS. They will be able to login and access resources made available to them. In a school settings, users can be lecturers/teachers, invigilators who will proctor examinees, IT staffs, exams and records staffs, etc. Basically, anyone that needs to gain access or modify content.

This caps the maximum number of users that can exist in the system under your organization.

An exam is said to be written when an Examinee has finished taking the exam. This places a limit on the total number of exams that can be written each month for all exams. This value is cumulative for all exams. As an example, if I have added two exams and for the first exam, 5 examinees have written and for the second 10 examinees, the total number of written exams is 5 + 10 which is 15.

This number continues to count even though one examinee writes more than one exam or rewrites an exam more than once.

Please note that this value is incremented immediately an examinee logs in to start the exam. If an examinee needs to re-login to write the exam for some reason, the count is not modified. It will only be modified if they login to write again after their score is cleared or the exam mapping is deleted.

This feature allows your organization to invigilate examinees and set proctor policies. You get live streams from the examinee's webcam, screen and microphone. Streams can be recorded and used as evidence if required. Examinees can only start their exam after receiving explicit approval from the invigilator. You can communicate with examinees over text and/or voice and send several commands to either pause, stop, logout, or ban examinees.

This feature allows you to easily add multiple examinees at once from excel files or delimited text files such as CSV. Without this feature, you will only be able to add Examinees using the Add Examinee dialog form which supports adding multiple examinees using tabs.

If this feature is enabled for your plan, you can generate activity reports for your organization. Monthly activity reports are sent at the end of the month automatically. You can see information such as when an examinee started and ended their exams as well as features that were used during their exam.

Please note that activity is not saved at all for plans without it so upgrading your plan would not reveal activities in the previous plan unless that plan alo supported the activity reporting feature.

This feature is available for all paid plans and allows you to embed the client application on your website. If your plan supports API requests, you can also use the auto-login feature to automatically login examinees to the exam. This is particularly useful if your website already has an authentication feature which the examinees have already been through and because logging in a second time can be frustrating.

This feature is better explained on the docs. So to find out more, please visit the docs.

This is a type of Exam where Examinees cannot start the exam; basically, the Client Application will pause until a start command is received from the manager. This type of exam is useful if you want all examinees writing an exam to start together. Server controlled exams must be configured on the Designer when building the exam questions.
